Kenna McWilliams is a mezzo-soprano, arts administrator, and passionate advocate for arts equity and accessibility, committed to making music a vital and welcoming part of the community. Originally from Woodstock, New York, Kenna holds a Bachelor of Musical Arts in Voice from DePauw University and both a Master of Music in Voice Performance and a Master of Arts Administration in Music Leadership from Ohio University, where she attended on full-tuition scholarships—each degree a testament to her dedication to excellence in her craft and her vision of the arts as a communal resource.

Kenna’s performance career includes roles with Indianapolis Opera and Cincinnati Opera in productions such as Carmen, Aida, and Don Giovanni, and principal roles like Mary Todd Lincoln in Iconic Legacies and Meg March in Little Women. Recognized with awards like third place in the Great Lakes Regional NATS competition and Cincinnati SongSLAM, she has also performed internationally, including in Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortilèges at the Franco-American Vocal Academy in France.

In addition to her performance work, Kenna is the Box Office Manager for Indianapolis Opera, where she has led initiatives to enhance patron engagement through modernized ticketing and CRM systems. She also serves as the Director of Music at St. Anthony’s Church, where she directs a children’s choir that will be featured in holiday events. Kenna teaches private voice and piano lessons to children in Anderson, OH, and conducts workshops in music education, sharing her expertise with diverse learners and fostering an inclusive environment that supports arts access for all.

Her work, both on stage and in the community, reflects her belief in music’s power to build connections, uplift voices, and create spaces for everyone to engage in the arts.
